Food
Science A and B Grades 9 - 12
Food Science applies scientific laboratory skills and food preparation
laboratory skills to study topics in nutritional requirements and assessments.
Opportunities are provided through hands-on food and science labs to
plan menus, prepare food, and perform computer nutritional analysis
on food. Life cycle nutrition, fitness, consumer concerns about foods,
food related global environmental problems, and careers in nutritional
sciences are also studied.
