Varsity Boys Basketball
In just two games, senior forward captain Kennedy has a combined 39 points, 9 assists, 16 rebounds and 2 steals. He is a key factor in the team and leads the team in ponts scored.
Varsity Boys Cross Country
Senior Bove helped the Cross Country team win the State Championship and regional championship finishing fifteenth with a time of 17:31 at states and thirteenth at regional with a time of 17:13
Varsity Wrestling
Senior Dudley (9-0) “sacrifices himself time and time again for the benefit of the team.” Normally in the 135 lb. weight class, Dudley cut five pounds at the last minute to go 130 in the Bowie Duals Tournement.
Varsity Boys Swim
Junior captain Somers has shown “outstanding dedication throughout the preseason”, said head coach Bob Jennings. Somers has been a leader and has brought motivation to the team.
Varsity Girls Basketball
Junior Lisle was the leading scorer in the opening game against Wheaton and had nine steals, merely one shy of a single game record. Lisle held Wheaton’s best player to only three points.
Varsity Girls Cross Country
Captain Duncan proved to be an instrumental part of the team, finishing 21st at the region championship with a time of 21:05, and 16th at the Montgomery County championship.
Varsity Poms
“Kim is a great leader for her team. She works extremely hard and is an asset to the squad. She is always very encouraging to her teammates,” said head coach Karen Mason.
Varsity Cheerleading
“Nicole is a four-year cheerleader. She really overcame her fears this month while basing and getting ready for competition,” said head cheerleading coach Jennifer Yeck.
Varsity Girls Swim
Senior captain Miskiel has shown “outstanding leadership”, said head coach Bob Jennings. Miskiel has been dedicated to rehabing her knee after an ACL injury last season.
