QO Athletes of the Month - Mar. 2005

Boys Basketball
Alex carried the team offensively with his percise passing. He also played excellent defense on the county’s best point guards. Knoblach lead the team this season in assists and blocked shots.
Girls Basketball
Meagan was the team’s leading scorer averaging nearly 10 points a game. She is one of the best 3 point shooters school history making 55 this year making at least one 3 pointer in 25 straight games.
Girls Indoor Track
Kiki is a very versatile athlete. Even though this was her first year running track, she still managed to place highly in the 500 meter run as well as the 800 meter run. She also holds a school record in the 500.
Boys Indoor Track
Bobby is the new school record holder in the shot put, beating the old record by 7 feet. He is the first person to break 50 feet in the event and is an inspiration to his teammates with his work ethic and competitiveness.
Varsity Wrestling
The wrestling team’s top wrestler Robert, finished his season with a 31-6 record and a trip to the state finals although losing in the second round. He will be expected to be one of the top wrestlers again next season
Boys Swimming & Dive
Stephen was one of the boy’s most consistant swimmers placing fourth in the 400 meter IM and 13 in the 500 meter free at the county championships. He had the county’s fourth fastest time in the 200 meter free..
Girls Swimming and Dive
Kristen placed fourth in the 200 meter IM and sixth in the 100 meter fly. She also had the third fastest county time in the 500 meter free and seventh in the 200 meter free. She was also an all American consideration.
Pom Squad
Kate is a devoted captain to the squad. She helped the girls place first at the Magruder competition and second at the MCPS competition. At the MCPS competition she also place first in the captains award.
