Athletes of the Month - October 2004

Varsity Girls Soccer
Senior Forward Brooke is the team’s leading scorer, with nine goals and two assists in the first five games. Brumby contibuted all three goals in the Whitman game, all within the last four minutes of the game. She has been a member of the varsity soccer team since her freshman year.
Varsity Cheerleading
Junior captain Nikki is being honored as Varsity Cheerleadings Athlete of the Month.DeMent works very hard to try and better both herself and the squad. She is always working on new material. DeMent is very versatile; moving flawlessly from a flyer to a base.
Varsity Girls Volleyball
Senior Kelly, setter and hitter, leads the girls volleyball team in every offensive category. She has been on the varsity team since her freshman year.
Varsity Girls Field Hockey
Senior Kristin is off to a great start this season. Foringer leads her team in scoring with 3 goals and 2 assists. She is a role model to her teammates and is an example of pride and intensity.
Varsity Girls Tennis
Senior captain Lindsay leads the team by example, and has a very positive attitude. Katzel wants the best for the team and is very uplifting and fun to watch. It is clear by watching her play that she is very determined to achieve victory.
Varsity Girls Cross Country
Senior Caitlyn has been QO’s top finisher at every meet this year. She placed 13th out of 175 runners at Mount St. Mary’s. Kennedy works hard, and always has a positive attitude.
Varsity Football
Senior captain Cameron is a key component in QO’s offense. After two games George has had six touchdowns, and had 214 yards rushing.
Varsity Boys Soccer
Senior goal keeper Henrry is being commended for his performance thus far this season. He has had a great season thus far. Cruz had three shut outs in the first three games of the season.
Varsity Boys Cross Country
Senior captain Jason, is the top finisher at every meet. He finished 10th place out of 200 runners at Mount St. Mary’s. Bove holds the school record of 18:15 at QO’s home course, Smokey Glen.
