Athletes of the Month - November 2004

Varsity Poms
Senior captain Taryn is hard working and a dedicated pom who has been on the squad all four years. She contributes choreography for football and basketball games as well as competition.
Varsity Girls Soccer
Sophomore goalkeeper Jenna posted three shut outs in the last four games of the regular season. She has an average of 0.6 goals allowed per game in the past month.
Varsity Girls Volleyball
Senior setter and defensive specialist Laura is not only a team captain but a court leader. As setter, she runs the offense and has had over 40 assists in the month of October alone.
Varsity Girls Field Hockey
Senior forward Marissa has contributed five goals and two assists to the 9-4-1 cougars. Her intensity has had a major impact on the 2004 Cougars’ season and they will miss her greatly next year.
Varsity Girls Tennis
Junior Alice won the regional title for Ladies Singles by defeating the defending state champion. She is a dedicated athlete and has been a tremendous asset to the team.
Varsity Girls Cross Country
Senior captain Linh Yen closed out one of the most successful and consistent careers in school history at the state meet November 13.
Varsity Football
Senior captain Brian has had an amazing year, passing for over 1,000 yards and ten TD’s. Barrett has led the team to playoffs for the first time since 1993.
Varsity Boys Soccer
Junior sweeper Alex has been a huge defensive help to the boys soccer team this year. He has been on the varsity team since his sophomore year.
Varsity Boys Cross Country
Freshman Artem placed 11th at the regional meet and was the top QO finisher, as well as placing second overall. He is an outstanding competitor.
